Virgin Organic White Tea, handpicked and handmade for you by a family owned Tea Plantation in Sri Lanka (Ceylon); White emphasizes the purity and goodness. Genuine White Tea, made from the youngest bud of a unique variety of the tea plant botanically known as Camellia sinensis.

Our tea is naturally and organically grown within tropical rain-forests of Sri Lanka (sinharaja).

The youngest tea bud is handpicked before the sun rises by a humane and happy group of members without causing any harm to the plant, and nature.

A rare and indulgent experience in Virgin Organic Ceylon White tea is subtle and sophisticated in aroma and taste.

White Tea consists only of the youngest bud of a special cultivar of Camellia Sinensis which is selectively hand-picked. It contains significantly higher flavonoid levels than black or green tea. Producing White Tea requires a great deal of effort, expertise, and more importantly patience. White Tea plants are not high yielding in comparison to other teas. An expert Tea Picker would only be able to pick around 300 grams of Youngest Tea Buds in a day.

It takes 5 – 6 KG of freshly picked youngest tea tips to make just one kilo of Virgin Organic Ceylon White Tea. The fine and tender White Tea buds need to be selectively picked, at just the right age of maturity, and they are then carefully placed in a natural cane bucket to prevent damaging and to protect from direct sunlight.

It is then preserved inside natural chambers for 14 days until the moisture is removed naturally. At just the right time, the processed teas are carefully placed under the filtered sunlight of the dawn to ensure that the tea is dry enough for packaging. This whole process is done under the special inspection of an expert tea maker to ensure the best quality.

The youngest tea bud of the Camellia Sinensis plant is known to contain polyphenols; the highest levels of antioxidants.
